Consultation – Add grape variety Albarino
The Ontario Wine Appellation Authority Board of Directors is seeking feedback on a proposed amendment to add the grape variety Albarino and synonyms to the List of Permitted Grape Varieties in VQA Regulation 406.
2024 Vintage Report
The 2024 vintage for Ontario’s wine regions – Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County, and Lake Erie North Shore – delivered excellent growing conditions and remarkable weather into the fall. By all accounts, grape quality is excellent.
Winery convicted on VQA charges
On November 2023, Locust Lane Winery pleaded guilty to 12 charges under the VQA Act.
